Employee Benefits
- Competitive Wages: We use multiple sources for our compensation information, making adjustments as necessary to stay competitive in our profession. We offer shift differentials, double time pay when a holiday is worked and attendance incentives.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Full time employees choose a major medical plan with a health reimbursement arrangement, a comprehensive dental plan, a vision plan, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, Employee Assistance Program, Legal and Identity Shield, Critical Illness Plan, Accident Protection, and more!
- 401(k): You are automatically enrolled at 4% in a traditional plan (meaning, the deduction is taken from your paycheck before taxes are calculated - this is a good thing!), and then 50% of your contributions will be matched by Scenic Living Communities up to 3%. That is free money to you!
- Paid Time Off: For full and part time employees, this begins accruing on your first day with us, and can be used after you’ve been here 90 days. PTO is for use when you or a family member are sick, when you’re going on vacation, or just need an extra day off.
- Career Path Development: We want to promote from within! You will have impressed us so much that we want to keep you, and we understand that you want to grow and develop in your chosen career path. We offer job-specific certification assistance, tuition assistance, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Tuition Assistance: When you’re ready to begin or continue your college courses with an eye towards a degree that would help in your career with us, we will help you! Details are available in Human Resources.
- Additional Perks: Employee meals, scrubs to purchase onsite, onsite free flu shots and fun times to celebrate throughout the year!
- Part-time Employee Benefits: Part time employees are eligible for the Employee Assistance Program, 401k, plus paid time off.
Our Application Process
- Apply: When you find the job posted that you would like to have, just click on the title and you will be taken to our online application. You will also be able to upload a resume and other documents if you wish.
- Phone Interviews: Our Human Resources Managers review resumes every day and call those people whom we believe could be a great addition to Scenic Living Communities. They conduct telephone interviews to gauge initial interest and qualifications, then determine who to invite for an in-person interview with the team.
- In-Person Interview: If you’re invited to come in for this step, you will meet with the department manager. Plan to spend about an hour with us so we can get to know you better, take you on a community tour, and answer any questions you may have.
- Background Check: All of our applicants go through an extensive background check once a conditional job offer is discussed. Not just for compliance purposes, but we want to make sure we’re hiring the best people we can, people who truly care about and have a passion for the seniors at Scenic Living Communities.
- Job Offer: Once the background check is complete and everything looks good, HR will call to let you know. They make the final offer and schedule your first day with us! Something we all look forward to!
